A national park and historic site, along with other infrastructure, will be improved.
On Monday, Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland went to Maryland to showcase projects that had been funded by the recent passage of the president’s infrastructure bill. The Interior Department is making improvements to the Antietam National Battlefield and the C&O Canal National Historic Park. In addition to these programs, several roads and bridges will also be improved in the state.
Secretary Haaland expressed support for the new projects saying, “The many components of our national parks – including old trails, historic buildings, and water infrastructure – are essential to not only enhancing the visitor experience but also to telling the rich cultural history of our nation. We are committed to using the resources available to us to invest in the vast infrastructure that sustains our public lands and national parks so that we can continue to carry out both of those goals.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For safety for Secretary Haaland as she travels around the nation.
- That Secretary Haaland will seek God’s guidance as she good stewards His creation.
- For officials in the Interior Department to be discerning in their decisions on projects to pursue.
